If you want to send an email to one or more Contact Groups, you can simply create a new email and start to type the group name in the TO field: Outlook will auto-complete the name of your group and you can click on the + icon to see your group members. However, once you create it, Outlook makes it pretty hard for you to find the newly created group. In its new skin, it offers many new features including Skype chat and cloud file sharing, which are very useful if you have your contacts in. You can easily create a new Contact Group by going to the Outlook People tab -> New Contact Group. Hotmail is now dead and is the new name. But managing Contact Groups is a different story… If you have a contact group containing a number of addresses of a group of people you email repeatedly, it is possible to make the contact group available to other named Exchange users so that they can also use it to email the same people. In fact, a “Contact Group” is the new name for the old “Distribution List”, in the same way as “Contacts” is now replaced with “People”. A contact group acts like a mailing list, but remains internal to Outlook and Exchange, and is private to you unless shared with others. Outlook lets you organize your Contacts into Contact Groups.
